Ring Insulators Type 2 for Rope, Twine & Wire
The Type 2 Ring Insulator is a robust line fitting for electric fences using rope, twine or wire. It has a solid steel-supported centre, which helps prevent the insulator head breaking away from the screw if it is knocked.
Its internal opening measures approximately 10mm across and has smooth sides to reduce rubbing as the conductor moves. It comfortably carries standard electric fence rope up to 6mm, along with polywire, twine and fencing wire.
Installation is straightforward. The insulator screws directly into a wooden fence post before the conductor is threaded through the ring. A screw-in tool can be used with a cordless drill when installing larger quantities.
These are available in bags of 25 and 50, followed by quantities increasing from 100 to 500. A compatible installation tool is supplied with quantities of 100 or more.
Ring insulators are not our preferred choice for electric fence tape because tape can work its way out of the opening in windy conditions. A purpose-made tape insulator will hold it more reliably.
