Combination Screw-In Insulators for Tape, Rope & Wire
The Combination Tape and Rope Insulator can carry all three common electric fence conductors: tape, rope and wire. It screws directly into wooden posts and is a useful choice where the type of fence line may change in the future.
The upper guide accepts 20mm or 40mm electric fence tape and allows it to flow through rather than clamping it firmly. A separate section accommodates rope up to approximately 7mm, as well as electric fence wire.
Tape is held approximately 1.5 inches away from the wooden post. This is considerably more clearance than many compact line insulators provide and can be helpful where posts are uneven, twisted or have rough surfaces that could otherwise rub against the tape.
We recommend drilling a pilot hole before fitting these insulators. This reduces the effort needed to drive the screw into the timber and lowers the risk of damaging the plastic head during installation.
A purpose-made Screw-In Aid for Combination Insulators is available separately and can be used with a cordless drill when fitting the full box.
