Electric Fence Wire and Rope Strainer
The Electric Fence Wire and Rope Strainer is used to adjust the tension of a sagging conductor without having to cut and rejoin the fence line. It can be fitted retrospectively, which makes it particularly useful when maintaining an established fence.
The wire, twine or rope is inserted into the winding mechanism and the strainer is turned to take up the unwanted slack. It can also be loosened again if the conductor has been overtightened or needs adjusting later.
This type of strainer is useful on longer fence runs where changes in temperature and normal movement can gradually cause the conductor to sag. It is suitable for steel electric fencing wire, twine and electric fence rope up to 7mm in diameter.
A compatible tensioning handle is available separately. This slots into the strainer and provides the leverage needed to make controlled adjustments.
