Hotline Heavy-Duty 3:1 Geared Electric Fence Reel
The Hotline Heavy-Duty 3:1 Geared Reel is a professional-quality model for regular strip grazing, paddock rotation and temporary perimeter fencing.
Its 3:1 gearing turns the drum three times for each full turn of the handle. This reduces the number of handle rotations needed when retrieving longer polywire or braid fence lines.
The reel can be fitted to a compatible steel reel-mounting post using a separate support bracket. Several reels can be installed on one post to manage a multi-line strip-grazing system.
It holds approximately 600m of electric fence polywire or braid, although the amount will vary with the diameter and construction of the conductor. It is not recommended for thicker horse rope.
The reel itself is white. The guide bracket may be either red or black depending on the production batch.
When retrieving the fence line, walk towards the conductor as you wind rather than remaining stationary and dragging it across a long distance. This reduces unnecessary strain on the gears.
