Electric Fence Rope to Tape Connection Lead
The Electric Fence Rope to Tape Connection Lead transfers the electric pulse between fence lines made with different conductor types.
At one end, a rope connector clamps securely around electric fence rope up to approximately 7mm in diameter. This provides both a firm physical attachment and contact with the conducting strands inside the rope.
At the other end, steel plates clamp across electric fence tape up to 40mm wide. Their broad contact area helps reach the fine conductors distributed across the tape instead of concentrating the connection at one edge.
The two fittings are joined by approximately 1 metre of insulated cable. This makes it useful where a rope fence meets a tape fence or where power needs to pass between nearby lines made from the two different materials.
It is not necessary for the rope and tape to physically meet. The insulated section can bridge a short gap while keeping the connection protected from accidental contact with posts, vegetation or the ground.
